One year and 60 weddings later, Taco Bell is renewing vows for bigger and better weddings at the Las Vegas Cantina
Irvine, Calif. (July 2, 2018) – Pop the Mountain Dew® Baja Blast™ because there’s an anniversary to celebrate. It’s been an entire year since Taco Bell said “I do” to weddings at its flagship Las Vegas Cantina Restaurant, giving taco-loving couples from all over the world the ultimate way to tie the knot.
The honeymoon phase is still as hot as Fire Sauce, but Taco Bell is already giving fans even more to celebrate with Taco Bell wedding attire and accessories now available online, and a renovated wedding chapel.
“The idea of enabling some of our most fervent and creative fans to express their love (for each other and tacos) with a Taco Bell wedding was certainly our idea of matrimonial bliss. However, the desire we have witnessed this year for Taco Bell weddings has exceeded all our expectations,” said Marisa Thalberg, Chief Brand Officer of Taco Bell. “In just one year, we have had over 60 couples, averaging more than one per week, tie the knot with us at our Las Vegas Cantina. And as we round this anniversary, we are excited to make future ceremonies even bigger and better than before.”
Now, even if fans aren’t in Las Vegas they can make Taco Bell a part of their wedding festivities with Taco Bell wedding attire and accessories now available online in Taco Bell’s Taco Shop. Taco Bell has of course come dressed for the special occasion. From Mr. and Mrs. t-shirts, to garters and bow ties, the online destination has new wedding garb to make the “I do” moment uniquely Taco Bell.
In an effort to make the IRL Las Vegas celebrations even bigger and to accommodate more weddings, Taco Bell has expanded the Party Room so that fans traveling from near and far to tie the knot can celebrate their big day with twice as many guests as before.
Inspired by fans incorporating sauce packets into their in-restaurant proposals, Taco Bell quickly made official Taco Bell weddings a reality, creating the ultimate venue for taco enthusiasts everywhere. From the couple who flew all the way from China to our very first wedding with Dan and Bianca, the Taco Bell chapel has been the site for 60 of the trendiest, sauciest and hottest ceremonies with 25 additional ceremonies planned for this wedding season.
