Nacho Fries are back and to celebrate, Taco Bell is honoring the 25th anniversary of Warner Bros.’ cult classic, Demolition Man. If you haven’t seen it, Demolition Man is the 1993 Warner Bros. Pictures action sci-fi film set in the year 2032, where the only restaurant left is Taco Bell. Talk about a dream come true, right?
Well, we decided to recreate the Taco Bell restaurant from the film and host a three day pop-up event for the people of Downtown San Diego. Curious about what Taco Bell 2032: Demolition Man Experience is all about? Keep reading...
From the moment guests walked up to the event, they were immediately immersed into the year 2032 with a futuristic exterior design and vibrant, neon light art inside.
Actor Dan Cortese, the piano player who performed in the Taco Bell restaurant in the film, even decided to make a special guest appearance. Can you spot him in this photo?
Once inside, guests were greeted with various drinks inspired by the film, such as “Bubbly with Baja Bursts.”
Following drinks, a four course meal awaited guests for a one-of-a-kind, upscale dining experience. The menu included courses with Nacho Fries, a futuristic Crunchwrap Supreme and more.
Some of the meals were transported throughout the restaurant by robots. Yes, ROBOTS.
Fans were mesmerized by authentic props and costumes from the film on display throughout the event.
The merchandise was a must cop for any Taco Bell fan. In case you missed the event, don’t worry, it’s also available on The Taco Shop for a limited time.
If you attended Taco Bell 2032: Demolition Man Experience, make sure to tag your photos on social media using #TacoBell2032. Personally, we can’t wait to see what Taco Bell will be like in 2032 (crossing our fingers robots are somehow involved).
