EBT stands for Electronic Benefit Transfer. It’s a card-based system that allows recipients of government assistance programs, such as SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) and TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) to access their benefits using a plastic debit card. Please refer to the USDA website for more information, including state level Restaurant Meals Program information.
